Welcome to the Forest Hill Dance Program. 
We serve the needs of dancers ages 3 and up through high school.
We believe our program is one of the best in Harford County as we provide a program with the emphasis on fun and learning the discipline of dance . . .

**CLASSES AND SCHOOL CLOSINGS**


We are working on ordering costumes.  Invoices will be mailed to parents by the end of January with an end of February due date for payment. 

DATES TO REMEMBER:
 

Technical Rehearsals - Saturday, May 10, 2014 & Tuesday, May 13, 2014.  During technical rehearsals, each class has a fifteen (15) time frame on stage to stage their pieces.  Dancers wear their normal dance attire (leotard, tights, shoes, etc). 

Dress rehearsal – Friday, May 16, 2014.  Dress rehearsal is a fun through of the entire shows.  Our younger classes will run first and the remaining classes will run in the show order.  Dancers will wear their costumes with hair & make-up done as they will for the recitals.           

Recitals - Saturday, May 17, 2014.  We will have two recitals.     

All of the above will all be held at C. Milton Wright High School.   A schedule will be made for technical rehearsals.  At this time, we don't know which classes will rehearse on which dates.  Tuesday classes may or may not have rehearsals that Tuesday.  We will hold a costume pick up night sometime in April at which time parents will be given a recital packet that will include a technical rehearsal schedule and a photo week schedule.  Photo week will also be in April. 

All of our classes, except our Creative Movement classes, perform in the recital.  All dancers are expected to attend their technical rehearsals and the dress rehearsal.  We understand that many of our dancers participate in spring sports.  Please inform your coaches of these dates well in advance.  Dancers only have one performance.  Rehearsals are to the recitals just as practices are to their games and tournaments. 


 
 
**CLASSES AND SCHOOL CLOSINGS**
 
Each year, we review the schedule for dates when Harford County Schools are closed and decide how we want to handle our classes on those dates.
 
As our dance classes are held in the activities center instead of in a school, we are not required to cancel classes on a date when schools are scheduled to be closed in advance.  We have reviewed the 2013-2014 school calendar as well as any parks & rec closings and have decided on the following:

Early Dismissal:  
  

Ø  On regularly scheduled early dismissal days, classes will be held.

Snow and Inclement Weather Cancellations:  

 

Ø  If the school system has a late opening due to the weather, we will have classes as regularly scheduled - even the Wednesday morning classes.
 
Ø  If the school system closes with an early dismissal time due to the weather, we will not have any classes after the dismissal time.  If school is cancelled due to the weather, we are cancelled.
  
Ø  If school is cancelled due to the weather, classes are cancelled.
