Welcome to the Forest Hill Dance Program. 
We serve the needs of dancers ages 3 and up through high school.
We believe our program is one of the best in Harford County as we provide a program with the emphasis on fun and learning the discipline of dance . . .

Your recital packet was mailed to you.  It includes a recital newsletter with all the details you need for our big day and events leading up to it along with a schedule for your child's photos, technical & dress rehearsals.

Dress rehearsal will be a little different this year.  For parents new to our program, we normally run through the show in its entirety but with two shows this year, we didn't think we would have enough time to run through both in one night.  So, we have organized the classes into groups.  On the highlighted schedule in your recital packet, a group number and time was listed.  This is the expected start time for that group.  Dancers should arrive 15 minutes prior to this time so we are all ready to go.  We have allotted for extra time to allow for costume changes but we still need dancers to timely change into their next costume.  Here is the schedule so that you will know the order of your child's pieces for the rehearsal.                
 

We have finalized the orders for each of our shows and you can review them by clicking here.  If you are unsure of the name of your child's classes, here are the class lists:
DVD orders will be taken on the day of our recitals.  If you'd like to fill out your form ahead of time, click here and then bring it with you on the day of the recital with your payment. 
 
 
*Did you know that the Forest Hill Rec Council gives out scholarships each year?  All rec council program participants are eligible to apply.  For more information, go to the bottom of the rec council home page or click on the Scholarship tab on the left.

 NOTE:  Since school is open on April 3rd, we will hold dance classes that evening.
 
Each year, we review the schedule for dates when Harford County Schools are closed and decide how we want to handle our classes on those dates.
 
As our dance classes are held in the activities center instead of in a school, we are not required to cancel classes on a date when schools are scheduled to be closed in advance.  We have reviewed the 2012-2013 school calendar as well as any parks & rec closings and have decided on the following:

Early Dismissal:  
  

Ĝ  On regularly scheduled early dismissal days, classes will be held.

Snow and Inclement Weather Cancellations:  

Ĝ  If the school system has a late opening due to the weather, we will have classes as regularly scheduled - even the Wednesday morning classes.
 
Ĝ  If the school system closes with an early dismissal time due to the weather, we will not have any classes after the dismissal time.  If school is cancelled due to the weather, we are cancelled.
  
Ĝ  If school is cancelled due to the weather, classes are cancelled.
